Today in ELA...
1. We finished listening to TBTB Chapter 3.  Then we reviewed Chapter 3 discussing Ailin's behavior and attitude toward foot binding.  Also discussed attitudes and possible impacts of the revolution.
2. We reviewed Chapter 3 vocabulary though quizlet.
3. We completed TBTB Quiz 1.

Today in ELA ...
1. We completed independent silent reading for approximately 20 minutes.
2. We read aloud the short story, "A Kidnapped Santa Claus" by L. Frank Baum.
3. We discussed how the characters represent concepts suchs good and evil.  We identified similarities between the story and other Christmas stories.  We discussed similarities between Frank Baum's other work The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
