Ms. Gunther's Pre-K 4's Page

Welcome to 1/2 Day and Full Day Pre-K 4 with Ms. Gunther! I'm so excited to be with you this year as you continue to learn and grow. In preschool we work hard, though our form of work might look like play to everyone else. While we play, we are working on our social/ emotional development, language, math, science, social studies, and religion! Along with playing, we also spend time creating with paints, crayons, markers, paper, and glue. Playing is hard work in preschool!

If your child won't be here on 4/11 that's okay, still fill it out and we will make a little goodie bag for them so it's like they were there with us!

On Friday, we got a visit from our Student Council Officers! Therese is our President, Antigone is Vice President, and Ivana is our Secretary. (Missing is Ryan the Treasurer and our Pre-k3-3rd grade representative Joelle). The children got to learn all about the officers job responsibilities and how they plan to make this school year more fun and exciting!
Our 1st Spanish class with Mrs. Acevedo was a success! The children did a great job paying attention and participating. We are going to work on being a little louder so she can hear us better, because she is so far away. We can't wait for our next session on Thursday.

Birthday & Class List Update

We have 16 children in class now. If you see the name Natalia, please disregard from the birthday list as well as the Student of the Week list. Instead of adjusting all the dates for student of the week, I simply removed her from the list, and we just won't have one that week.

Emilia's Birthday is listed as April 21st but that was a mistake. Her birthday is actually July 21st.

You're Finally Here!

Today, we read the book "You're Finally Here!" By Melanie Watt. Our BBFF (Best Bunny Friend Forever) was waiting for us to get to school, and wondered where we were! So, we told him, then he got a phone call and made us wait for him. It was a fun book to read, especially with tone of excitement in our voice when an exclamation mark was used. The kids really got into it. The video is of our wall with the poses they made today on the playground, and the speech bubble telling our BBFF where they were.
