3 Year Old Pre-Kindergarten Benedict Center (B103-104)

"Play is a child's work."  In our three year old pre-kindergarten room, the children learn through play.  Our days are built around the activities that the children choose and we are modeling, facilitating and teaching in each of those moments.

My teaching vocation in the Archdiocese began in 1998 at the Cardinal Bernardin Early Childhood Center.  Our school thrived for the 11 years I was there and it was open.  The doors of the St. Teresa Campus closed in 2009.  For the next 10 years I was the Pre-School for All Teacher at Our Lady of Charity.  Coming to Queen of All Saints in 2019 has been a blessing.  Developing the faith formation and skills of the youngest children at QAS became full-time for me in 2020 as my first year at Queens I had the joy of being with the K-8 students in the Library during the afternoon hours.

This school year, 2024-2025, Miss Maria Palazzo will be our morning aide.

You may reach me with questions and/or concerns at the email address below.

We will pray for you daily and we ask that you keep us in prayer, too.

May your day be blessed!

Wishing your families a Blessed Christmas

Hello, Parents,
Our next event is the Preschool Mass on Saturday, December 7.  The children will sing outside at the manger and again on the altar.  So, please dress warmly for outside but nice, dressy Christmas clothes for being on the altar.

Thanksgiving Blessings

Many people assume that the United States has celebrated Thanksgiving Day since the time of the pilgrims as a sign of thanksgiving for the harvest season.  This is not exactly true.  President Abraham Lincoln instituted the holiday in 1863 during the Civil War.  However, he did not have the harvest in mind.  He wanted Americans to celebrate the holiday as a sign of unity and thanksgiving to God.
"I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens."
President Abraham Lincoln, Proclamation, October 3, 1863

Thank a Veteran - everyday -

Veterans Day is an important day set aside to honor and show appreciation for ALL who have served in the United States military—in wartime or peacetime, living or deceased.

Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day in the United States, commemorating the signing of the agreement that ended World War I at 11:00 A.M., November 11, 1918. President Woodrow Wilson celebrated the first Armistice Day in 1919.

Lord God, Almighty Father,
creator of mankind and author of peace,
as we are ever mindful of the cost paid for the liberty we possess,
we ask you to bless the members of our armed forces.
Give them courage, hope and strength.
May they ever experience your firm support, gentle love and compassionate healing.
Be their power and protector, leading them from darkness to light.
To you be all glory, honor and praise, now and forever. Amen.

We can’t all be heroes; someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.
